Connection lost after a couple hours

your lumia 800 is ok and working fine. there is problem with your internet connection or your wifi modem. your modem's internet setting may have been altered by someone by mistake. your pppoe user name and password may have been deleted. when you will connect wifi to your lumia, then sometimes it will automatically start internet connectivity test. if this test passes then your internet will work fine, if it loses then you cannot use internet.

Yes, you can ask for the GPRS settngs from your operator. Once you set it you can then surf the internet.

1. Get Azureus from azureus.sourceforge.net. (You need to have Java installed on your machine first.)
2. Run and configure Azureus:
   • Skip any updates, because they rely on torrents.
   • Set your proficiency level to Intermediate, so you can change the encryption settings later.
3. Go to Tools -> Options -> Connections -> Transport Encryption, and require encryption.
4. Under Mode, set your proficiency to Beginner. (Beginner has all the options you'll ever need as a downloader.)
5. Restart Azureus, and let it do any updates it deems necessary.

Your router may be configured to "connect on demand". Enable the setting called something like "Keep Alive"

i suggest to remove ask toolbar, to do this go control panel, click add/remove programs and select ask toolbar and uninstall it.
ask is just like ads program that makes your net busy.( its happen to me before but after removing ask toolbar my net runs normal)

I had the same problem. I reset the home portal to factory setting and uninstalled the 2wire software from my main computer. I then reinstalled the system using installation cd that came with 2wire.
