Would be cool if that display means you have #74 fuse blown. Maybe its for the amp output to the speakers? have you tried the speakers on another system? could they be blown? Is there anything in the manual about the error?

Hi - I just moved and when I hooked up my 2003 Panasonic SC-AK100, it stays in 'demo' mode and won't shut off completely...after showing "goodbye" and apparently shutting off, it comes back on...

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Panasonic-SC-AK100-manual/id/356ag917/t/2/

Page 12:

A demonstration of the display is shown if you have not set the clock.

You can reduce the power consumed in standby mode by turning it

off.

During standby mode

Hold down ['square icon'/-DEMO] until "NO DEMO" is displayed.

Every time you hold down the button:

NO DEMO (off)↔DEMO ON (on)

To show a demonstration of the display
Hold down ['square icon'/-DEMO] until "DEMO ON" is displayed.

I got panasonic- sa-ak240 stereo system i get F61 on the display then it shuts down to standbye.

F61 is an Error Code......it's basically indicating that something inside the stereo is malfunctioning or broken.

the stereo has gone into Protection mode.....could mean there is Direct Current on one of the output rails....most likely the Power Amplifier IC in your Stereo has gone bad....a new one should solve this problem....you'll need to send it in to Panasonic for replacement of the faulty parts.

Hi, this might help you:

I think the best and safest solution is to search and contact a specilialist electronics in your area and have him take a look at it, maybe it just needs cleaning, a firmware update or any software that fails that can be fixed like that.

Hope it's useful, and greetings,
Olivier.

SA AK200 does not appear to turn off completely

Hello,
HiFi system actually turned Off when you press power button and display of hello, heavy, vocal etc is demo mode of this system and it activates when unit goes to power off.
You can change its settings like not to show demo mode etc and this procedure is described in owner's manual.
Thank you.

My Panasonic SA pm08 DVD/CD player is stuck on 'Locked' and I can't change the cd's or do anything. J How do I unlock system?

Try first unplugging unit from main, and holding the cancel button.

If that does not work try the following:
Hold at the same time the stop button on the main unit and key >10 on the remote control at the same time for about 5 seconds, until you get the word "initialised" on display. This will reset the unit to factory settings.

My Panasonic SC-A240 shuts down displaying the error f61.

Several components in the power supply maybe faulty, especially Tranisitor Q5110, Resistor R5114 and Diode D5102 on the power supply board. Check and replace these and also resolder the regulator IC's on the heatsink.
