Hi, i have a cuestion and i hope you can help me i cant receive faxes in my Lexmary x4270 is connected to PAP2 and configured codecs etc, and this PAP2 is connected at the same time to PBX asterisk,what can be wrong with this?

If you prefer to have the printer pick up faxes automatically, I suggest you configure the printer to pickup after the 2nd or 3rd ring before your voicemail picks it up. Hi have you tried installing the most up to date drivers recently because they do change and if so sometimes there are seperate drivers for a lexmark. Also due to it being faxes make sure your firewall or anti virus aint getting in the way of it try disconnecting it for a brief moment then try sending if it works then go through your protection settings and so on

make sure the phone wire which you insert in fax machine getting proper dial tone and getting out going calling facility and line is working.go to menu option and choose the option fax and set the parameter like auto receive or manual set the ring auto answer mode after certain ring. If it is in auto receiving mode it will receive the fax after the ring which you set.

did u have balace in your pep2 line if u not have balance then its will be happen or ur account has been deactived

I can receive fax but cant send fax

I had the same problem when i first install my fax machine and at that time I only had the black ink cartridge in the fax machine one's I installed the color ink cartridge, my fax machine started working.

NOTE: Set the following parameters under Line 1 or Line 2 tab, depending on what Line the fax is registered to.
Step 1:
Access the PAP2’s web-based setup page.
Step 2:
Once the PAP2’s web-based setup page appears, click Admin Login then click switch to advanced view.
Step 3:
Click Line 1 or Line 2.
Step 4:
Look for Network Settings set Network Jitter Level to high.
Step 5:
Go to the Audio Configuration section and set Silence Supp Enable, Echo Supp Enable and No Echo Canceller to no. Set FAX Passthru Method to NSE, FAX Passthru Codec to G711u and Use Pref Codec Only to yes.
Step 6:
Go to the Supplementary Service Subscription section and set Call Waiting Serv and Three Way Conf Serv to yes.
NOTE: If the above settings did not work, please power down the PAP2 and power it on after 30 seconds.
Step 3:
Click Line 1 or Line 2.
Step 4:
