When I turned on the power for my 'Logitech X-240' speakers, there was a loud static noise coming from the speakers. I unplugged the speakers from the subwoofer, and as I began to plug them back in, the static returned. The noise is there regardless of the volume level. Any help would be appreciated

Clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your SOUND CARD dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

Loud speaker static when the car is off. It drained that battery. I tried pulling the radio fuse but it was still making the noise. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Any ideas?

I GUESS that the speakers are driven by an after market amplifier. An amplifier needs to be connected to a power source that is only on when the radio is on, through a relay.

So I GUESS that:
  1. The wiring is incorrect. Or
  2. If is has a relay, the relay is stuck.
