I have a Panasonic NV GS-180 3CCD video camera. I have bought a new computer with Windows 7 and unfortunately I cannot install Motion DV Studio 5.3E LE Software. I tried to import my video using Movie Maker but it does not recognise my video camera either. What should I do

Disconnect the camera from computer, remove any software that might have installed and restart the computer.
Go to Panasonic's website and download the latest software that matches your camera model and operating system.
Install all of the software and don't connect the camera until the software asks you to or after you have completed the software installation.

MotionDV Studio should have been supplied on the CD which came with your camcorder. Else, it can be downloaded here.

Next, follow the instructions at the following website for upgrading MotionDV Studio to version 6.0 which is compatible with Windows 7:

When installing the software, if it gives an error that the camera isn't connected, just unplug the cable and plug it right back in.
