Hi cewins,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: you have a slimline dishwasher. when turned on and door shut it sounds to be working but no water is getting in to clean . water valve is turned on .any ideas of what could be the problem?

The most likely culprit is the solinoid valve. It controls the water flow. It may have clogged or it has failed. It is under the d/w behind the kick plate on the left. In order to service it the d/w must be removed to gain access. You might consider utilizing our Repair Directory. Or, if it is still under warranty, give them a call. Anyway this is not a job for a novice.

My NEFF integrated dishwasher will not fill

It sounds like there may be an issue with the control board or programming of your NEFF dishwasher. The fact that the impeller runs and the rotor arms spin when water is manually added to the sump, but the controller does not call for water when the sump is empty suggests that there is a problem with the communication between the control board and the water inlet valve.
The round white device you mentioned that is located in the water inlet before the water inlet valve is likely a flow meter. It is used to measure the amount of water flowing into the dishwasher and send a signal to the control board to indicate when the appropriate amount of water has been reached. This device could be malfunctioning and preventing the control board from requesting water.
It's also possible that the problem is with the level float and plunger that operate the micro switch you mentioned. If the float and plunger are not working correctly, the control board may be receiving incorrect information about the water level in the sump and preventing the dishwasher from filling with water.
It is best to check the user manual for the dishwasher, it will have the troubleshooting section, you can try the solution mentioned there. If the problem persists, it is best to contact NEFF customer service or an appliance repair professional for further assistance.

Neff Integrated slimline - Programme does not complete.

IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH ITS NOT HEATING DETERGENT AND RINSE AID INTRODUCED INTO COLD WATER WILL GENERATE A LOT OF FOAM,IS APPLIANCE WARM INSIDE AT END OF CYCLE?OR IT COULD BE TOO MUCH RINSE AID IF IT IS FILLED WITH RINSE AID AND YOU ARE USING A TABLET WITH RINSE AID COMBINED IT WILL HAVE TOO MUCH TO USE IN ONE WASH.

My dishwasher sounds like its working but when i open it nothing

1. No water
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

2. Not enough water
If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

3. Clogged spay arms
There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

Neff dishwasher door problem.

The latch on many dishwashers is adjustable. If your door is easy to close but difficult to latch, adjust the latch to let the door close more easily. If you can't see any way to adjust the latch, yours may be fixed in a certain position. Check for other reasons for the latching problem.

Neff dishwasher continually draining

Update to my problems. It is now working. I removed the T20 tork screw housing the pump cover which is situated underneath the filter. I used a sponge and siringe to remove all water. And started the dishwasher a few times to spin the pump and flickout any excess water. I noticed some small bits of food which were removed and I cleaned all filters and put it back together. It didnt work staright away but the pump was not comong on as soon as the door was shut anymore. I did a reset and then selected a rinse programme and voila it worked! Tried a full wash cycle last night and it all seemed to be working fine......

Neff s5946 slimline built in dishwasher. Fills with water, clonking sound in pipe and does not register on programme, although pump working.

if you only hear the clunking sound while the dishwasher is filling then the inlet valve is bad.. i would replace it because if it fails completely you could possibly have a flood..

Dishwasher not starting when door closes

What your saying is suggesting a water supply issue. The Model number you've given can not be found on the Neff website.

You will need to disconnect power, turn the water supply off (under sink or behind dishwasher), disconnect the water line, put the end of the hose in a bucket or cup, turn water back on slowly and make sure water flows. Turn back off. If water flows -

Then check that there is not a restriction in the water solenoid valve. If you know how to use a multimeter, check the water valve solenoid for continuity.

Plug the unit back in, and initiate a wash cycle, and watch for voltage applied to the water solenoid valve. If you get voltage, you should hear the valve open.
Power the unit off, connect the water line, and repower the unit. Check again if water does or doesnt flow.

Let me know what you find.

Neff Dishwasher

Hallo Champer, 1)Be sure water supply is arriving with enough pressure. 2)If the hose between the crane and dishwasher has an aqua-stop ( or water-stop) which you recognize at the hose being enlarged twice the size close to the crane, possibly water supply can be blocked there. You can change it temporarily with a regular hose ( for garden or car-wash ...). If dishwasher is doing the job buy a new hose with Aqua-stop in a regular electro- household appliances shop. 3) If this solution is not the good one, you might check in fact to the inlet valve, which you find at the other side of the metal plate where the watersupply is flooding inside the diswasher. Generally a white coloured threaded plastic pipe. Unplug your dishwasher, close water supply (!) and disconnect the water hose. Open the dishwasher ( either top-plate and/or back-panel). Now you see the inlet-valve ; unscrew this one and mark the position of the 2 electrical wires, which you also unplug then. Also unplug the internal water drain, and ask again a regular shop (see 2) if they can check this valve and if necessary get a spare part. Oeffti, hopefully this helps else let know.
