Most likely it is the fuse that regulates the heating element on your press that has burned out.
All you have to do is open the top, remove the heating plate. The fuse will be on the left, button shaped.
Replace the fuse and put everything back together and the unit should work.
You can buy a fuse from the company you bought your press at or contact the manufacturer.

My handheld Conair garment steamer is heating up but not producing steam. How do I fix this?

A handheld steamer uses hot steam to relax the fibers in clothing. A jet of steam is directed at the cloth suspended on a hanger. A steam wand at the end of a hose is held a short distance from the cloth - providing a smooth look without the application of scorching heat to the clothing.Steamers are ideal for soft and delicate fabrics like silk, satin, polyester and jersey. Because a garment steamer does not actually touch clothing - there is little

My rowenta steamer is not producing steam but tubing getting hot when I turn on steamer. Suggestions?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you

If the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber .

If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat .

If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle.

If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.

If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.

My clothes steamer won't keep putting out steam stops after about 5 min

It sounds like it is shutting off on high temperature because of a line/scale obstruction. You may need to descale it. Use CLR (available from home improvement stores or supermarkets) or something similar. That should get it back in operation.

Conair GS33 fabric steamer spews too much water..can't be normal, eh?

Are you setting the body of the steamer on a table? If part of the hose sits lower than the steamer body steam will condense in the hose and collect in the low spot. Steam pressure will push the water out through the nozzle. If your steamer starts to sputter lift the hose so that it is completely above the level of the water reservoir and let the water drain down. Its a good idea to keep the steamer body on the floor so the hose can never get lower than it.

The steam on my FP-202L stop working. I believe it may be caluicm buildup, even though I use distill water. How do I clean the caluicm out?

I've heard that Vinegar is the best for water applicances, like steamers, coffee makers, Irons, etc.

Try rinsing it out with vinegar.

Fill it with boiling hot mixture of half water half vinegar. Let it sit two hours. Rinse and repeat as necessary. Hope this helps you out.
