My indesit d63 dishwasher (which has worked brilliantly for years) has recently been leaking water onto the floor. When I open it at this point, it is full of water. I have read the articles here and think it is probably a faulty pump. Where is the pump, how do I access it, and is it easy to replace?

Sounds like your shaft seals have gone.
This usually takes more labor, special tools, and parts than the unit is worth. Unless it is a family heirloom or something, suggest replace it with a new machine.

It sound that the problem is cause the water level switch (stuck in the "full" water position). The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with this specific machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Clear first any obstruction in the tube,In case it doesn't help, disconnect the wires from the unit (you should disconnect first machine's power cable !!!!!) and measure with a multi-meter on its tugs for continuity and disconnection while you are inhale and blow to its tube. In case it doesn't react, you should replace it. Good luck !

try pushing down firmly on inner door panel at the bottom with door fully open. You will feel it starting to bend. This moves seal closer together when door shut. it worked well for mine.

SOURCE: indesit D63 dishwasher dishes not getting clean

Check the rinse aid dispenser is set properly to release a small amount of rinse aid not full and not off but the first click should be fine, then under the bottom rack there are filters remove then and clean them regular, also remember to wash the dishes the same night that you use them ,leaving them over nite will result in the food going hard and you will need a hammer and chizel to remove some dried food, last please remember this is a dishwasher not a food disposal unit you need to rinse the dishes and scrap off loose food before washing

My Indesit D63 dishwasher won't close. There is still power to the machine and when you hold the door shut the cycle starts but the door doesn't click shut.

Make sure that the top shelf slides back fully into position. If the flow nozzle does not fully engage onto the water supply jet at the rear of the shelf this prevents the door from closing fully. Sometimes this can be caused by the gasket wearing and preventing engagement this rubber ring is easily replaced and can be fitted by a novice

My Indesit D63 dishwasher is not cleaning things in the upper tray. There are no blockages in the spray arm but the rubber seal at the water inlet to the spray arm seems to be damaged. What should I do?

Hi,

I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...
