My siemens dryer keeps showing a flashing key sign and will not start. what does this mean? dryer model S46-59

To reset the controller Turn the dial to off.
Then you need to press and hold the start button and the low heat button.
Keep them both held in and turn the dial 1 click clockwise.
Keep the buttons held in till start light flashes then let go.
If this works then turn the dial to off and then back on and try a cycle and see if this works.
Let me know what happens.

Beeping and lights are indicative of a computer controller... which means a ''bad circuit board''. Which means you need a technician with specialized equipment to diagnose it.

Unfortunately, it means you have a computerized machine that can only be repaired by a technician with proper diagnosing equipment. Even if you can find out the meaning of the code... that may not tell you what to do about it. (It usually involves replacing circuit boards). Monetarily, with regard to cost of repairs, we were all far better off back in the days of ''switches'', ''knobs'' and ''mechanical timers''.

try get the repair free
if this fails just look for the door lock switch for it

Must be locked
lots of machine use a lock out mode to prevent children from playing with the machines. Not familiar with siemens equipment
