I have a model SM600 Back to Basics smoothie maker. The plastic gear at the bottom of the blade shaft no longer meshes with the plastic piece the forms the tip of the motor hub. The two pieces slip off each other when the motor is engaged. It is a very poor design and one that must cause recurring problems for this unit. can I purchase replacement parts? This was a gift so I don't have warranty info or receipts from the original purchase. The unit did not last more than a month.

Smoothie maker 600

Check to see if the jar has any cracks or if the blade assembly or collar have any cracks.
Is it possibly leaking from the tap valve?
If the blades or tap lever are cracked I would recommend replacing them, however if the jar is cracked i would just buy a new blender. These are great for smoothies but they are all discontinued and parts wont be available for much longer.

I need the container which cracked for my Smoothie Elite Model SE2000

The replacement parts for the Back to Basics blenders can only be purchased by Back to Basics. You can call them at 800-668-1989 or go through their website to find replacement parts.

Just go to www.westbend.com, go to the support tab, then replacement parts, and find smoothie makers in their list. Once you have the smoothie maker model list up you just need to find your model.

Thank you,

I have a B to B 'Smoothie Signature' with a leaking and loose fitting shaft bearing. Can I get it apart and replace or tighten something, or do I need the entire container base?

Here is a link to all of the replacement parts available for a smoothie signature: http://westbend.com/support/replacement-parts/smoothie-makers/sa5red-smoothie-maker-signature.html

I am not sure what you mean by shaft bearing, but if it is not on this list, it is not available.

Thank you,
