Akai lcd damaged screen

Hello, sorry to tell you this but the lcd is already damage, and replacing the lcd will resolve the problem. Or you can try to contact a technician to inspect the damage personally. Because it is much better to do some actual testing to the unit. Good day and best regards.

Lego broke the front glass of the LCD........... time for a trip to Best Buy or Circuit City for a new TV. Cost to replace the screen will exceed the cost of a new TV.

check out the store they offer spare parts of LCD TV.If you wish to replace the monitor.however there is no problem or harm using your tv aside from obvious cracked you can use it anyway..

The LCD Screen is damaged beyond repair. Cost to replace TV is cheaper than repair.

This TV may be totaled as the replacement screen can be as much as the TV itself! Sorry...start searching for a new TV!

Most likely the lcd panel is damaged. You can consider repair but the panel is very expensive. You may want to consider replacement. Unfortunately that is the downside to these tv's, a tube tv can't withstand a little more abuse then the screens of lcd and plasma televisions. If you need any further assistance please let me know.

Without a model number I gather the TV she threw the remote at is a LCD tv? If so look at replacing the set as the LCD panel is now damaged and usually cost more that what a replacement set will. There is no fixing a damaged LCD panel.

There are reports that the power supply has dry o leaky capacitors. If you open the TV you will see the power supply # MLT169A.
I have fixed a few of this power supplies.

The front main screen polarizer is damaged. Only two options are available for it. 1. Order a replacement panel, which will cost more that what u probably bought the tv for. 2. Buy a new TV.

if the screen prot. is damaged,replace with plexi glass..avail thru local home improvement suppliers...good luck...john
