My Haier HLP20E (brand-new) stopped draining and spinning on the 3rd use. Can't get tech help from Haier even though I have a year's warranty (Boo Haier!).

I thought it might be the lint filter, but cleaning the filter has not helped. Washer seems level. Any suggestions?

My GE Model: WH42X10303 washer stars a cycle .. then stops (lights blink) hit start button again and a couple minutes stops again.. I 'm thinking I need to replace the CONTROL PANEL ASM (ie control board?) seems to have mold or something that has grown in it .. all other wiring looks OK.
Does this sound like a fix solution?

after wash cycle the machine stops. have to turn it off wait awhile then turn it back on and it will spin and run okay. Just wondering if it could be out of ballance or what is the problem with it. Never had this problem beofre we moved.

First, make sure the lid is closed completely. Check to see that the power cord is ok and that it is getting power. If it is, the machine's overload protector may have tripped. In this case: - Take out some of the articles to reduce the load and let the protector reset itself, then restart. - If it doesn't help, Check whether the programmer/timer is linked to a controller board. Generally this is hidden away underneath and is difficult to see. This may have an intermittent fault or may be getting damp or there may be something amiss with the wiring. - Check the switch contacts with a meter. Also check there isn't a blockage in the 'spigot' that joins the hose to the drum (Poke a piece of wire up the hole if needed).

Washer stuck

i am assuming that water comes in at the start of cycle and machine does not then progress. Points to a timer fault unfortunately. These timers are expensive and quite hard to fit. don't recommend repair in view of age of appliance.
honestly can't see how related to sock problem

The problem may the pump filter which is hidden behind the lower front panel. To access the filter, unscrew three screws at the bottom of the panel and carefully remove the lower front panel. Make sure to unplug the machine. With the panel removed you will see the pump filter. Get a bucket and some towels ready, because when you open the filter, you may get a gallon plus of water coming out. GE failed to put this in the use and care manual for the 6260. But low an behold, GE put an access door and explicit instructions on cleaning the pump filter in the updated 6400.

You may have burned out your washer pump. That is what happened to me. The machine would not drain or spin properly and so I kept pushing the blinking start/pause button to get it going again. Then it finally did not drain at all. I installed a new pump and with the cleaned filter, the machine worked like new. For some, simply cleaning the filter allows the pump to work properly. As the filter gets clogged the pump has to work harder and harder to pump out the water. When this happens the cycle times get extended . One symptom of a clogged filter is the final minute (spin cycle) takes much longer. Obviously this is a "design flaw" that GE "fixed" in the recent version of the 6260.

When the washer go s on rinse the prewash flashes Problem

Mine has been doing the same ... each time it goes to the next part of the cycle the red light flashes but the machine doesn't do anything ... so up till I have been able to get the machine moving to the next stage by pressing the "Start" button ... unfortunately the machine will pause on each stage - meaning I have to press "Start" at each stage!

Won't cycle to the next step

maytag neptunes are the worst appliances to get. i worked for maytag and the neptunes are over price and break very easy. plus the cost of repairs are very expensive. i would recomend getting a new washer. youve put enough money into this one and getting it fixed is going to be expensive. especially when the fix is only temporary. something else is going to leak or break.

Final agitation and spin do not happen, timer does not stop

check your knob and sleve on the timer to see if they are the right ones or if they line up. if they doit might be the pin in side the timer.or it might be faulty. another suggestiion is check everything out twice. good luck
