The picture is too large on the screen. You cant see the top of the picture although it is using the entire screen.
This model has a history of defective capacitors in the vertical output circuitry. Have a technician change C824 a 10 uF @ 160V as well as C309 and C311 both 1uF @ 50Volt capacitors and your problem should be solved.

Is there a different view mode in the menu? like theatere mode or "stretch mode" Are there any tv adjustments at all? Sometimes you can power cycle the problem away. Tvs have computers in them and you know how computers are. They some times need to be turned off sit a bit then turn them back on. reset

picture to big for screen
Same problem tv tube is filled in but can`t see the whole pic. Ex: hockey games where they normally show time ,period an score can`t be seen on my cm27101s manf. date Aug 2000.
The TV has been doing this for some time. When it first started after the TV
was on a little bit the pic. would fit the screen. Now it just stays to big for the screen. Not able to watch anything.
Basically the same problem. The picture is too big for the screen. People's heads are cut off at the top. For the news, we see torsos talking to one another. Subtitles can't be seen at the bottom. Contrary to the first solution suggested [actually it is just a question, not a solution] --There is no option on the menu that I can find that offers a different configuration like "stretched." or anything. I am not sure what the point is of this site -- to commiserate with other users? I was hoping to find someone from the company who knows what is going on with their products and who could help. If there is, the help and information would be appreciated.

Robert Ford 3505 W 105, Cleveland ohio 44111 (Disabled Vetran) I have had it with this TV. TV use to last forever I didnt have this one for a year before it messed up!
