Canon Selphy CP400. Only prints approx half width. New cartridge fitted. No different - but now fixed.

OP recorded the answer as follow;

Now found the solution (the post didn't mention CP400, which is why I didn't find it at first). The post gave a link to a YouTube video showing a crack in the plastic lever which pushes down the print head. I hadn't noticed the crack. Glued with Bostik hard plastics clear glue / adhesive.

I am prepping a back splash wall for tile I applied one coat of joint compound and before it dried it cracked is the product defective or am I do it wrong.

Joint compound shrinks when it dries If it cracked, you put it on to thickly. When you cover it with adhesive to mount the back splash, it shouldn't matter. If you want it to be smooth first, you can put a THIN coat of joint compound over it first. However, the cracks that are there will probably help the adhesive hold to the wall.

Leaking clear water

Mine did the same thing. I took off the bottome cover (you'll need a tamper-proof hex key) The seam on the bottom of the carafe warmer where the water passes though to heat up to make the coffee had a slight hair-line crack. I tried to order part from Delonghi but they said they wouldn't sell it to me because I was not an authorized dealer. (mumbling) I went to a hardware store and bouth a 2-step adhesive. (you need to make certain that it is heat resistant. (mine was 250f) I applied it according to directions and let it cure for 24 hours. Try to force some of the adhesive into the crack.. It has not leaked in over 30 uses. I checked it and found no deterioration of the adhesive so far. Good luck.

Wrong floor tile adhesive used. Contractor used timber floor adhesive instead of concrete. Some tiles cracking and adhesive not drying?

it depends on what kind of tiles they were. If they were soft tile, then they may crack anyway if the floor is not level, also if he made the floor uneven by using the adhesive they can crack. Many soft tiles are peel and stick and no adhesive is needed. If they were hard stone tiles then he should have been using grout to stick them down and grout the cracks in between as well. It sounds like you need to have someone else come in and re-access the problem as I can't see the whole situation, but it sounds like the tiles may need to come back up. You can either get the same guy to come back and fix his mistake or get some one else to fix it then go after him to messing it up. If you want to choose another person I recommend looking at www.superpages.com.

The back cover of my monitor is cracked.

Usually most adhesives will NOT repair this. One could glue on a sheet of material to cover and support the crack, but that is not very practical. The best plan is to replace the cover. Either get new part from HP or find a cover being "parted" out as a lot are on eBay.
