I need to know if i can plug a Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain Pro into my Edirol UA - 25EX for recording on Logic Pro 9.
I basically need to be able to record 8 channels at once (i.e. Drums) is this the way around it or is there an easier one?

Unfortunately, the Behringer Xenyx x2442usb only comes with a stereo USB interface. The documentation is a bit misleading, but you can only record two channels through the USB interface - the main mix L and R. If you need to record more inputs than that, you'll have to do them separately.
basic would be all dials in the middle. and appropriate switching on/off of (phantom power) +48volts. this option is required for condenser mics but way too strong of a signal for normal dynamic mics, like the shure SM 58. or any non-balanced input
Sounds like a wordclock problem, usually happens when ADAT is paired with another device. Mostly to fighting word clocks use your 002 setup to use the Ultragain as a slave on the 002 clock or even better get an outboard wordclock to run both devices on a steady samplerate.
Good Luck,
Cody J.
The ada800 gives out 8 channels of ADAT, the edirol UA-25 are only stereo opticals and not compatible with the ADA8000 as it does not have any adat inputs or outputs.
Hope this helps
Here is the manual:http://www.behringer.com/EN/downloads/pdf/MIC2200_P0054_M_ENG.pdf Plug your microphone into the input using a proper cable. Plug another balanced cable into the output on the back and plug it into a microphone input on the mixing board. If your mixing board already has phantom power, disable it for that input as the MIC2200 has phantom power. Read the manual carefully and take note of the directions for phantom power and balanced cables. Make sure you follow the directions carefully. If you need the manual in a different language look the MIC2200 up under products at Behringer.com and you can download in pdf format in many different languges.
Hi. I have an 2 ADA 8000 and one went down with the same fault after 7 years.
Firstly, there is a slow blow fuse in the back above where the kettle lead goes in. CHECK THIS FIRST!
If, like me, you change it and it blows again, change it a second time and it maeks a "crackling noise internally. There is a problem with the internal transformer.
From a lot of talking and searching, I've found out what you need to do. Either yourself or and electronics expert needs to do this.
First of all, you need to order a NEW transformer. You need the specific one from Behringer.. I am in the UK and obtained it from EMS. Their number is 01702 613 172. While waiting for this to be delivered, you need to check the power regulator and the 100Nf capp and the 10Nf caps as these can go faulty and cause the transformer to "over work", meaning that as soon as you put in the new transformer, it could go again pretty soon.
These caps I'm told are generic and do not need to be obtained from Behringer. THE TRANSFORMER DOES.
I Hope this helps you all out as I could not find this information online, this is from genuine experience, from people "in the know". Please spread this info about to help others like us who are stuck in a tight place.
