Well.. i can close my disk drive all i want, however, it will just keeep on opening and closing and wont read the disks at all and i cant afford a new one... my xbox is under 1 year of age. i got ''just cause'' the other day and i got all excited and found out it wouldnt read my game so i got mad. You know the thing you press to turn on the xbox...it keeps blinking like it does when ur opening your xbox. so i think it thinks the xbox is always opening or something. CAN I FIX THIS?

ok well this is what i did, it may sound crazy but i worked for me and my friends. So, take the disk out of your xbox, plug it out and hold it so that the back of it is facing up to the ceiling, now bang the front, where the disk drive is on the floor, do it twice then turn back on your xbox, do it again if does not work but im sure you will get it :)

There is a magnet inside your DVD drive that got displaced and is now stuck to the top of the enclosure.

Take your 360 apart and follow this guide to put that magnet back in its place.

there is a small button in the slim that picks up the door open or closed. if the plactic pic on the lid is broke it will read as the door open even if the door is closed. you can takeit apar tand tape down this switch.

My 360 is/was having a similar problem...my 360 would say "reading disc" then "open tray". Well since my system is only about 8 months old...I opted to send it in for repair. Its under warranty. My system is in route to be fixed as we speak. I would advise you to get yours registered too.

This hard disk is a easy fix, You can buy a new one for the fraction of the cost, All you have to do is slip this off the unit and apply an new or even a used hard drive. you may need a new disc drive or you may just need to clean the laser in it.
if you remove the disc drive and turn it over you will see the laser, just clean it with a non static cloth.

no these are legitamate questions, the one that wont eject is probably out of timing someone could have pushed the door closed instead of pushing the button a lot of people dont realize this can harm a player what you would have to do to fix this is open it with the power off then plug it in and let the power close it that will normally fix that problem. the one that reads no disk listen and feel for it to spin the disk when turned on if the disk dont spin it wont work let me know what it does or doesnt do. the x box could be a lot of things but listen for disk to spin in it also and get back with me some might be fixable some might not.due to cost
