To connect to your wireless router, the router's wirelesssettings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also thewireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with theserouter's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicatewith your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down andput it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

My Linksys wrt300n wireless N router is slow
You have WRT300N router. If it is very old model then upgrade the firmware of the router. and try changing the wireless channel on the router.
Firmware is the software of the router.
Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router.
Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router.
On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.

WRT300N router has issues with firmware. Upgrade the firmware of the router.
Download the new firmware from the web site www.linksys.com/download . save it on your computer. open the set up page of the router.
Upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware , reset the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset after 30 seconds. wait for 1 minute. unplug the power and plug it back in. wait for 1 minute.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router.

My WRT300N Linksys router shows all lights, I've hit the reset button onece, but I can not get online without plugging the cable directly into my computer.
Since you hit the reset button on the router, it will go back to default settings.

By default, the SSID is linksys and the wireless security is disabled.

So on the wireless network connections on your computer, you should see linksys and then just connect to it.

However, it is advisable to change the default SSID and to enable the wireless security.

Try first resetting the router by pressing the reset button of the router fro 10 seconds while power is ON and then after that reconfigure the router.....

the wireless connections says limited or no connectivity when it does not get IP address from the router.
There might be problem with the wireless settings of the router.
if your network is a secured network then you will need to check the network key.

How do you connect the new PSP Go to Linksys WRT300N router?
On the PSP make sure the WLAN Switch is turned on. To connect to your router, go to System Settings > Network Settings > Infrastructure Mode then select the Network that you want to connect. If it's Linksys, select Linksys and press X. Select Scan and choose the wireless network and Enter. If it asks you for network key, type your wireless network key and connect. That should do it.
