Lenovo 3000 N 100 builtin web cam not working while using skype, can u help me fix the problem

Did you try uninstalling your Skype? Maybe your Skype version is an old one (recently they launched the new version). Also, if you Skype tried to update automatically and was interrupted it can cause issues.
My suggestion is to uninstall your Skype using Revo Uninstaller, then go to official Skype website and download the latest version which you will install. They try if it works.
Other thing that might be causing the problem is your camera. Please, go to your Skype now, choose tools>options>video settings and see if Skype recognizes your cam (it will appear in drop down window). If your cam is not listed let me know to find you a solution, but first try uninstalling Skype.
I would also like you to tell me the error message you get.

Just open yahoo messenger or skype latest version. Try logging in and your web-cam will automatically open.

Try uninstalling the drivers for the web cam and reinstalling it make sure you computer is up to date for Windows.
And then reinstall the drivers

please close yahoo messenger and restart skype.

this should fix the problem. yahoo sometimes opens the webcam exclusively so that no other program can access it anymore.

Ok first open the yahoo messenger then go to tool setting and select you web cam.

Try pressing the "Fn" and "esc" buttons on the keyboard both at the same time to turn the camera on or off. It may work or may not, but that is the way it is supposed to work. There have been a lot of problems with this web cam and yahoo messenger. The only other thing I can suggest is to contact Lenovo and see if they might have another driver that can resolve this.

To test it is working okay, download and install Videocaster, and choose Capture Video from the main menu.
If you want to use it on Messenger or Skype, you have to select it as the default webcam in the video settings in each program.
