Hard drive when i listened t my mp3 player for a long time i then found that after it had caused an error and it said that i could format the hard drive on the device or use the coputer instead. I formatted the hard drive on the device and it then told me that i had to rip the hard drive which would lose all the files that was stored on the device. It then came up with a message that said that it couldnt access the error and couldnt read the hard drive. I then tried to sort the problem out by using the computer and it wouldnt recognise the usb cable at first, then when it did all it told me was that the new device has an error on it and may not work and now i cannot access any of my music files.

What do I do to Eclipse fix mp3 when it diplays "Disk Error!" upon attempting to play music?

Presumably the error is caused by a hard disk drive? In which case the hard disk will need to be checked. If there are options to do this use them. Otherwise the drive might need to be replaced.
If you bypassed the normal way of putting music onto the drive, then it might have corrupted the drive.
If there is an option to reformat the drive that might work. Or if there is a factory reset, that might correct it.
If you have music stored on the drive, which is not found anywhere else, then I think it will have been lost for good.

My mp3 player just quit on me. format error pops up when i press play

When you go to play a file and you receive a disk error, the best solution is to format the player's hard drive. Once the MP3 player's hard drive is formatted, all of the files and the disk error will be removed in the process.

My MP3/MP4 Player keeps saying "disk error"

sounds like a corrupt memory chip or if it has a hard drive it has a bad sector maybe formatting it might help

Every time i turn on my mp3 player it tells me format error. Ive formatted it a couple different times now to try and fix it, but nothing works. What am i doing wrong or what should i do?

If your mp3 is flash card based, you may need to just replace the card. If your mp3 player is hard-drive based, the hard drive may be bad. Usually those can be replaced by the consumer as well.

When i go to listen to my music, it comes up system file error

Hi,
A lot of people have been complaining about this particular product. First of all, you have to format the player, but the instruction manual doesn't even mention this..
Plug one into the usb port and wait for it to detect. Then go to My Computer, and right click on the drive and Format. There is no 'firmware' to overwrite. It's just a flash drive attached to a controllable chip. Formatting it just makes it compatible with the system you are using so that files can be allocation the correct amount of space on your mp3 player.
You should now be able to copy songs over, although Protected mp3's WILL NOT PLAY ON THIS PRODUCT!!!
Unbelievable, I know, in this day and age..
Almost makes you want to download and install Soulseek and download 'normal' versions of the mp3's, doesn't it? Because they will always play in your mp3 player?
So first format the thing. The rest is up to you ;)

Hope this helps ;)
Season's Greetings!

Hard error

There has been many of these tyes of errors, i had an error like this myself, i fixed this by formatting my mp3 player, however you could try looking for updates if not format would be your best option.

If there is software for this mp3 player use that to format the player. If there isn't go to "My Computer" look for the mp3 player, prefferably called "Removable drive" right click on that then click on "Format", do that and see if it works after that.

Disk Error Message

the best thing to do is RE format the disc. i am currently having the same problem , witch i am tired of fixing them. if the item is from ebay : hong kong , i suggest you tell the buyer and complain. people will do anything for good feedback. saw formatting it will work. but you'll have the same problem in the future. either you copy all your music files to a folder. or buy one from Argos , woolworths etc etc...
