SOURCE: intermittant failure LED display of my TEAC SR-L50 Clock Radio
Hi,
Offhand, the failure of the 2 segments would seem to be intermittent (granted affected by humidity). Technically, I would suspect a case of cold solder. They could be replaced or if you know somebody who could solder, then it is a matter of re-heating the joints and adding a dab of soldering lead.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Hold
the memory button on the remote control, wait for the written "SYNC ON" on display and then
press the track forward (one on the right with the double arrow).
Now normally set the clock.
SOURCE: how to set clock on
The "set time" button on my SR-L100 is located inside the CD compartment. To set the time the unit needs to be in the standby mode. Press and hold the set time button until the time blinks, then use the tuning/clock adj. dial to set it. Hope this helps!
To set the alarm on the TEAC SLR 100:
Be sure the radio is set to off or standby.
Hold down the BUTTON for the alarm you wish to set (#1 or #2) until the TIME ON THE DISPLAY begins flashing. Use the TUNER/CLOCKSET DIAL to change the display to the time you wish the alarm to go off. pRESS THE ALARM BUTTON BRIEFLY TO RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATION.
