Re:
Could be noumerous things:
1. check power supply, too high or too low voultage may cause TV to shut down. measure it to detarmine if power supply is faulty.
2. check convergence board. If either of these 2 fuses on the convergence panel are open then replace the STK output devices PLUS check for any resistors in that circuit that may have overheated and changed value. Use actual fuse values, putting in a
larger fuse, even to try and diagnose problem, will cause more severe damage.
3. Check for bad solder connects on the PC board in the area of the power cord and related components.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. The television is shutting itself off to protect itself. The blinking light is a code pattern. The specific code determines whether or not you need an LCD Controller Unit, Main Board, power supply or something else. You would need the service manual. There are parts distributors you can get it from and the parts as well. If soldering and tv repair is not something you are entirely familiar you may want to seek a tv repair person. The manufacturer's support may walk you through the service menus to complete a factory reset depending upon the symptoms.
Hi my name is Roety, I can help you with your issue , Your Mittsubishi has a system the will cause the green light to blink for 70 seconds when first plugged in, if the green light never stops blinking it is either a power supply issue or a stuck keyboard button. So do the test and reset it to see if the light stops blinking or not. If I have helped you with your issue If you have more questions you can stillrespond I will reply asap Thanks
Do you have audio and if so can you change channels to hear other programs? If so ...you have a bad vertical IC. Have a tech turn up the screen control to see a white horizontal line. By your question I would say this will correct the problem.
turn up your master screen control on flyback transformer.
if when sceen gos black ,the timer light will be blinking.
this means your picture tube is week.
by turning up the screen control you may give it more time.
