Polish stainless steel sinks

I would use a copper scrubber (like steel wool only copper) and something like Soft Scrub. Copper is softer than steel, so it won't scratch.

How to remove scratches from stainless steel appliances

Try this at your own risk. Step 1 Consider using a product made for stainless steel2_bing.gif such as Scratch-B-Gone or Bar Keepers Friend (see Tips).
  • Step 2 Or, try spraying an all-purpose cleaner (such as Formula 4092_bing.gif) on the scratches.
  • Step 3 Use a non-metal scouring pad (such as Scotch-Brite pads) to rub the cleaner in, always rubbing in the direction of the grain.
  • Step 4 Keep the stainless steel wet with the cleaner as you work, and rinse the pad often.
  • Step 5 Rinse the surface and wipe dry.
  • jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });
    Tips & Warnings
    • Before using any treatment on your stainless cookware, sink or appliances, it is wise to call the manufacturer for advice.

    Deep scratches on blanco granite sink

    The only way to fix scratshes and chips from a granite surface is to use a sander. You would be safer to have the company thet installed it, resurface it. They have the proper equipment.

    Stainless Steel Sink Question

    s with most things, your stainless steel sink WILL scratch with use. However, over time as the sink ages, scratches will become less apparent and in fact blend into the surface. Minor scratches on the inside surfaces of the bowl may be blended into the sink by lightly rubbing a Scotchbrite pad in the direction of the finish grain. Be sure to rinse thoroughly with water and towel dry after this procedure, removing any particles left over from the Scotchbrite as you rinse.

    SCRATCHED STAINLESS STEEL SINK

    Have you tried a really fine steel wool? I don't know if this would work. I have stainless steel farmhouse sink, front exposed all stainless steel. My contractor scratched it up horribly when he was putting it into the kichen. he fixed it amazingly with a fine steel wool pad. I don't know if your scratch is too deep for that but it couldn't hurt. The scratches on our sink were surface but very noticeable. Hope this helps.
