Canon MultiPassC555 printer

When I print a document it starts printing, when it gets to about the 2nd sentence it skips about 3or4 sentence's and prints the rest of the document just fine.

I have recently had the same problem of the printer not printing the complete document.. It is not a problem with the ink cartridge since there is no gap on the paper for the few missing lines.. It is almost as if the printer consistently eats up a few lines from about 1/3 of the document and then prints rest of the data!

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks

I had the same problem and found that the cover for the ink cartridges was not closed all the way till it snapped into place. once it was seated right, the printer worked beautifully.

I have Windows XP. Out of the blue, my printer started doing the same thing. Looked like the printer was compressing a line or two after it printed a few correctly.
It had nothing to do with the ink cartridges, color or not. After trying everything else, I un-installed and re-installed the printer.
Voila! It works fine now. You can download the Windows XP driver easily, then don't forget to run both files to install it.
(Click on Start, then run and type in the following.)

C:\Temp\C555\setup\Setup.exe
and
C:\Temp\C555\setup\Setup2.exe

Could be a partial block - print a block of color and look for blank spaces in it, if you get them, then you should unblock the nozzle and the print head. Clean them with hot distilled water, and to be on the safe side clean the contacts as well. Good luck!

I just installed my new HP 1660 Printer that I bought last year. It has the following problems; 1. There are horizontal lines on the photo colored prints 2. When I print MS word files,...

This is the same problem. You need to run the cleaning cycle on the printer. Go to Control Panel > Printers > Select your Printer > Printer Properties > Maintenance > Clean Print Nozzles.

Printer prints just part of sentences

Heeheehee do I feel stupid I just checked the printer for the upteenth time and finally found the problem.
I had a piece of paper (sticky price tag paper ) on the ink track so that was what was causing my problem. It was covered in ink LOL.
