Question about Kodak EasyShare V550 Digital Camera
The LCD on my V530 will go black (unlit) after about 10 or less seconds after powering it on in any mode (auto/shoot, movie, or picture review.) The only way to get it to come back on is power the camera back on. Oddly enough when the screem goes out so does the power indicator light BUT the lens doesn't retract and close. Please help! I assume you replaced batteries and all. Clean the inside of the battery compartment contacts with a pencil eraser. If you left the batteries in you likely have contacts that have corroded. Don't push too hard with the pencil eraser but clean them thoroughly. take into consideration that this is a longshot, worths trying, but I believe that the problem lies in the power supply, or in the circuit board. both of them will require a professional.
