When I turn on the projector (PJ1060), the whole right side, it is blue. You can see througth the blue and continue to watch what you are watching. The blue has a straight edge to it. And so you know, the blue takes up about 1/3 of the screen. Any suggestions as to what it might be? Can I fix it myself? Ballpark on how much it would cost me? Thanks!!!
As a first step, check for dust and dirt in the optics of the unit, sometimes they can cause these kinds of problems. if not, Look at the filters attached to the blue LCD panel. If I remember correctly it has a dark "yellow" mirrored surface. I have had one go bad and give the same symptoms. It looked like it may have had an optical flaw that "captured" the intense light rather than passing it thru it. As time passed it got worse. The replacement filter fixed it.

Thank you so much for your solution. Is this a do it yourself type of fix? Or should I take it somewhere. I have a computer tech background and have messed with that type of hardware before. Just wondering how much of a pain in the butt it will be. =)
Thanks again!!!!!
