Blue Spots on my Zenith D52WLCD TV

I have had this TV a little over a year and the blue colors are really starting to stand out. Is this a problem that anyone has come across and can it be easily repaired? Any help or pricing would help.

We have a similar problem with a blue tint going down the left half part of the screen about 6-8 inches from the top. The bulb is is great shape. Why are we getting this blue tint and how do we fix it.

I have the same problem, the blue screen started on the top right corner of my TV and the replace lamp came on the screen so I replaced the lamp and the blue has now covered the whole screen. I can see the picture but the blue tint is getting worse. Is there a pace I can take the TV to get it fixwed or should I just buy a new TV?

Are these blue spots as stated in the first line of your complaint or is the blue over powering the rest of the picture?? And are they spots or small blue particles?? Need more info please!

I have a green circle in center of TV.

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine which is very costly, sometimes it's better to get another tv .Have a blessed one!

Hitatchi 52" rear projection TV has blue spot in middle of screen

Hello :
I suggest u retrace you the steps u took to replace your lamp make sure no foriegn objects got on the prism where the light shines throung the optics engine, if you remove the lamp compartment througly. If you had a perfect picture prior to replacing the lamp, then retracing your steps you might find something that does not belone. One final note: Did you purchase the right lamp 120watts anything higher than this wattage could damage your optics engine. I suggest never vacuuming the compartment because particals fly around from the suction and could get on the glass of the color wheel asembly.

I have a Zenith d52wlcd and the screen is dark or excessively blue.

Go to the Zenith repair site. This has been resolved in a lawsuit. Zenith will fix it free of charge through 7/1/2010. The shop just picked my up to replace the light engine free of charge. Call 1-800-228-1757, have your model number and serial number, and where you purchased it. Here's the neat thing-the question I asked is "have they fixed the problem with the light engine, or is it going to keep going bad?" If happens again (blue lines/spots) before 7/1/2010, they'll replace the TV with a new and different TV of equal value!

Zenith M52W56LCD blue spot in center of screen

It could be as simple as dust contamination in the LE or lcd chip. You need a clean room to work on this area of the unit and NOTHING you can do there would make that possible, short of spending a few thousand to build one. Before we added a clean room enviroment we simply pulled the LE and sent it in to PTS - who has one and reinstalled...
In your case take it to a qualified shop and you'll save yourself a lot of grief..
