I have a delfield 6000XL. It has been working fine up until three weeks ago..Now it trips the breaker 2-3 times every 24 hours. I have had an electrician out and two specialist refrigeration companies...paid plenty of money but problem still not fixed...Circuitry is fine, compressor seems fine, coils are clean. Doesn't matter where I plug it in, still have the same issue...

The problem you describe is not very frequent but happent also before. The breaker trips either from oveload and this when the compressor motor find it hard to start up and the second reason from an electrical earth leak from a power point which is again compressor, fan motor and defrost heater. Manytimes everything look to work fine but leak oroverload happens periodicaly and from previus experiance the only way to identify problem is not can be done by just one or two hour visit of a technician but a longtime supervision in a workshop or from owner. This can happent by doing something else in the same room with fridge in order be able to identify if the breaker goes off during a defrost then is the defrost heater, during copressor starting thenis the compressor or compressor starting device or one of fan motors evaporator motor or condenser motor.
As you may understant this is one not easy problem since it only occur periodicaly but with full supervision can be identify especialy from an experience percon and there is not any other option.

I have same issue. It is 100% in the defrost cycle. Does this mean defrost heater is bad? There is a high limit defrost part also correct?

Were is the defrost timer

Delfield freezers have defrost in the control. It is a thermostat, defrost control, and other things all rolled into one device. Not adjustable in any way. check the manual for details. http://download.partstown.com/is-bin/intershop.static/WFS/Reedy-PartsTown-Site/-/en_US/manuals/6000XL%20SERIES_spm.pdf

Is it possible for a delfield freezer 6151 XL-S to trip a breaker every 2-3 hours if the TXV valve was faulty letting liquid get to compressor. This unit has had controller and relay start assembly...

I would look to see if it is tripping during the defrost cycle. One of the heater elements my be faulty. Never heard of a bad TXV causing a breaker tripping, but I guess it's possible. I would adjust the superheat so that it is about 6 to 8 degrees just prior to unit reaching temp and shutting off. I'd start there.

Delfield freezer 6151-S keeps tripping GFCI

Try it in a normal plug. Freezers and refridgerators just pull too much to be used on a GFCI. The more a GFCI is used the eaiser it trips.
