My cd player fell and the spring fell out. I found where the spring goes but I can't get it to go back in. My cd player is an Panasonic SL-SX430 with MP3. Please help this is the second time I have done this.
The short end of the spring enters the body of the CD WALKMAN , The long spring with the bend will rest along the cover.
Tuck the long end of the spring inside the plastic bracket along the corner.
The spring is creating an L . The short end facing you and the long end out and against the cover.
There are screws on the motor if your walkman isn't responding.

Are you saying the spring to the door fell out and this is the second time??? how was it replaced the first time as a spring should not just fallout unless its dropped and a boss is broken off. ( a boss is a small plastic piece that would hold the spring in place.) This is a hard call unless you get the mechanical diagram as I dont have and they are all made differantly.

Hi- I also have a portable CD player which door spring is out. Except that my player is an Aiwa model, XP-R210 The spring is a coil spring, with a leg on each end. One leg is short, about 0.7", the other long, about 1.8". There are also slight bends in the spring legs.
There is a cavity in the CD player body in which the coil rests, but I am unable to find where the spring leg goes. I think the short leg goes into the body, and the long leg pushes the door- but I could have that backwards.
So far, I have tried inserting the short spring leg in from the backside with the door open, but when I try to insert the coil into the cavity, the spring flips out of position, backwards from where it apparently is supposed to rest.
Anybody out there done this op before?
ThanX,
Allen
