When I plug the tv in, all i get is a hissing or static sound, no picture or sound. The tv will not turn on. When i unplug the tv, the hissing or static sound goes away. How do I fix the problem? What caused the problem....?
We've the same problem. It is a buzzing sound that is coming from the back of the tv. My husband took the back housing off and we were able to locate the sound near the power supply on the circuit board. What should we do to fix it?We've the same problem. I have sound but no picture. I removed the housing and found that the circuit board behind the tube is broken. I have looked everywhere for a replacement but have had no success. Where might I find a replacement circuit board without driving to Mexico (made in Mexico)?I have sound but no picture. The hissing sound could be high voltage leaking from a tripler. Observe in a dark room for blue arcing. Look at tripler and connections to the projection tubes. If the tripler is leaking replace the tripler.
sounds like you may have a bad ic it probley is a surface mount on the bottom of the board it could couse this problem would need to take to a shop to repair. The ic probley is numbered ic101 on board.
It sounds as if you have inadvertently selected the 'Aux' function. Pressing the 'TV' button (should be close to the Aux and others) should restore full control.
Since the volume generally means 'TV Volume,' this function often stays effective but the other controls will not respond, including 'Power.'
This happens to us all the time with our Dish remote which also has 4 basic functions.
Do you have the original remote for that TV set? If you do not, you will need to get one or borrow an original Sanyo remote so you can get into the set's menu and go to puicture set up and try adjusting the constrast up a little bit.
Try to put DVD conection to your tv if it works normal no problem to your tv, but if sound dosnt work your tv has audio input problem maybe looseboard, or maybe you check the setting for audio.
