What actually happens? Does the Display come on properly? Do you hear any mechanical Noises? Like a motor whirring? Are you able to load a cassette into the machine? Does it get ejected automatically? As you say that the machine switches ON, I assume tyhat the Power supply cicuits are Ok, and this leaves us with the possibility that there is a mechanical problem.Is it that the machine was not used for a long operiod of months or years? If that is the case, in all probability the belts are damaged / broken / loose.
