I was doing laundry this morning, did not even fill up the washer all the way, so it didn't overload.
Apparently it wouldn't agitate or spin at all. Was told that when I got home at least.
We took out the agitator and I tried it again. With the agitator out, it would spin and the thing the agitator was on seemed like it was working.
Problem is now it smells like burnt rubber. Not sure why. Anyone know?
Thanks
Hi, timhowarth1
ngafm at your service,
Because it wouldn't agitate or spin at all the belt burned as it tried to spin!
A problem with th coupler or transmission.
You need an experienced and hands on laundry tech or you may make matters worse or spend money replacing parts unnecessarily.
How old is the washer?
If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!
