After connecting a satellite receiver (dishnetwork 301) to this PT4232 Norcent plasma TV the colors are really distorted (over saturated). Stay the same no matter what source of video.
Manufacturer said disconnect for 24 hours, nothing changed.
TV bought out of the box without extended warranty. To send back to manufacturer cost around $500.
Sometimes, poor picture quality occurs when having activated an A-VHS camera or camcorder connected and having connected another peripheral at the same time. In this case switch off one of the other peripherals.
Also, The norcent has a known problem with progressive scan - when connected to a progressive scan source, it yields a distorted screen with dual images and messed up colors.

I need to know if you have each device running straight to the TV or if you are running them all through an AVR. The first thing I would check though is the connections of each by removing all devices and plugging them in one at a time while testing. It is possible one of your devices is causing this.
What you need is a device called a multi-switch. Here's a page which details some of the switches available with different satellite setups. You would hook up your sat recievers, your TV and your recorder up to the multiswitch:
A strange fault you denotes here indeed. Haven't came across this type of fault with Plasma TV. I suggest you to contact the authorized service center for LG. Never do anything to it. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
A distorted picture display soon after the Plasma TV is powered on has two indications. The movie from braodcasting station should display without noticeable objects of distractions. For example, the movie displeyed on the TV without obstructions is indication that the problem is from the display set. Alternately, movies with poor capability to display on the set is indication that the media from which motion pictures are acquire from is malfucntioning. For example, a TV connected to cable network or disk network or satellite broadcasted signals with receptive compromises are diagnosable from two areas. First, a clarification from the network station that has setup connectivity of devices. Perhaps a device in the setup is malfucntioning.
