I was checking the battery condition using my battery life feature on my Nikon D2Xs camera. The battery indicator pointed out that I needed to calibrate my battery. The indicator message read as such, eg: Calibration Required! in red letters. So I placed this battery on my Nikon MH-21 charger, after plugging it in, I selected the calibrate button. It took quite awhile for this process, and from what I know about the calibration process, the charger basically drains all the charge during the calibration. Then recharges until fully charged. The charger is supposed to auto re-charge the battery once all the power is drained during the calibration process. When I woke up to check the battery status on the charger the next morning, the green 50% light was flashing under the charge level and to the right of that on the calibration side it was indicating 2h. I then checked the battery in the camera and it was essentially dead!!! I tried re-inserting the battery in the charger and simply performing a straight charge, but all the charger does is flash green at 50% and won't charge. Normally all the charge lights light up on a normal charging and then then they extinguish down to the actual battery level eg: 50% then the charger should commence charging. But my battery all it does is flash 50% and no charging!!! Please advise, since the MH-21 operator manual is very brief and doesn't have any troubleshooting guide for this issue. I look forward to your reply, thanks.

SOURCE: Does this charge a battery

No. The MH-23 is for charging the EN-EL9a battery. The D3100 uses an EN-EL14 battery, which used the MH-24 charger.

SOURCE: Can I use software, USB

The S550 uses the EN-EL11 battery and the MH-64 charger while the S570 uses the EN-EL10 battery and the MH-63 charger. The two cameras have different USB connectors, so you cannot use the same cord. You can use the same software with the two cameras.

Wolverine wg-1078 cam what is it any good

he Wolverine WG-1078 is a trail camera designed for outdoor use, particularly for wildlife observation, hunting, or security purposes. As for whether it's "any good," that depends on various factors including its features, performance, reliability, and user reviews. Here are some points to consider:
  1. Features: Look into the specifications and features of the Wolverine WG-1078. This includes factors such as resolution (both photo and video), trigger speed, detection range, battery life, and whether it offers any additional features like time-lapse mode, built-in screen, or wireless connectivity.
  2. Performance: Consider how well the camera performs in real-world conditions. Does it capture clear and sharp images/videos? Does it have a fast trigger speed to capture fast-moving subjects? Does it perform well in low-light conditions or at night?
  3. Reliability: Reliable performance is crucial for a trail camera, especially if it's being used for monitoring wildlife or security purposes. Check user reviews and feedback to see if there are any common issues with reliability such as malfunctioning sensors, battery drain, or durability issues.
  4. Ease of Use: A user-friendly interface and setup process can make a significant difference in your overall experience with the camera. Consider whether the Wolverine WG-1078 is easy to set up and operate, especially if you're not familiar with using trail cameras.
  5. Value for Money: Evaluate whether the features and performance of the Wolverine WG-1078 justify its price point. Compare it with other trail cameras in a similar price range to see if it offers good value for money.
  6. User Reviews: User reviews and ratings can provide valuable insights into the performance and reliability of the Wolverine WG-1078. Look for reviews from verified purchasers to get a better understanding of their experiences with the camera.
Ultimately, whether the Wolverine WG-1078 is "good" depends on your specific needs and preferences, as well as how well it meets those requirements in terms of features, performance, reliability, and overall user experience. Conducting thorough research and reading user reviews can help you make an informed decision.

Nikon d2xs will not power on. Hi my nikon has been sitting unused for a while. I wanted to use it to shoot some time lapse and bought new batteries for it. I charged them and put them in only to find

You are correct. The internal battery typically lasts around ten years; but that is a very rough number. I would take it to a camera repairman or contact Nikon Support at 1-800-645-6687 between 9AM and 8PM EST, Monday to Friday for an RMA number.

How can i find the battery indicator for the Nikon coolpix s3000 on the display? P.S. page 22 from the manual doesn't help! Thanks,

Greetings - The indicator that is displayed on page 22 of the manual is the only battery indicator in the camera. There is no real time "gauge" of battery status.

As indicated, there is only battery charged (no display), battery low indicator and battery exhausted indicator. You'll find very few (if any) consumer grade point and shoot cameras with that level of monitoring.

Regards and thanks for using Fix Ya.

How to use in Nikon d90 manual setting in best photograph for marriage purpose

Based on this question, I would recommend that you use the Nikon D-90 automatic (green) setting. This is basically a point and shoot setting for inexperienced camera users which is what your question indicates.

I would not attempt to shoot manual pictures on a critical event such as a wedding without practicing a lot with the camera. The D-90 is an excellent camera with many, many incredible features but it has a long learning curve.

Using the automatic mode won't guarantee excellent pictures but it should guarantee some usable ones.

Which batteries?

Here is your answer.....

Battery Life: Good battery life for a camera running from two AA cells. The Nikon Coolpix 4600 uses two AA batteries for power, but its lack of a standard external power terminal prevented me from conducting my standard power measurements. It does seem to have pretty good battery life, particularly if you run it from high-capacity rechargeable NiMH cells.

Low Battery Indcator Flashes

You can check the status of your battery, including chargeble life remaining, in the Setup Menu. You need to have the CSM/Setup menu option to display Full menus, not Simple, in order to get battery status. So see if that battery status selection says you need to replace the battery.

Since you can shake the camera to get full battery, it's possible the battery contacts (on the battery or in the camera) are dirty, so check that.

If you do need a new battery, spend the few extra bucks to get a genuine Nikon EN-EL3e from a Nikon dealer. I have learned that many off-brand batteries do not properly implement a needed reserve, and "Genuine Nikon" batteries bought online from non-dealers are often counterfeit, just relabeled junk.
