The left of side of the tv shows black how do i fix it

The screen and the LCD are broken and are going bad and should be replaced for your TV and the ribbon might also be damaged too and needing to be replaced.

Just replace the T-con board

try to replaced the back-light LED driver to fix it..In LCD its called inverter board..

Hello; I do a lot of Sanyo repairs and have seen this problem several times. The left side may be black always or sometimes. In either case the LCD panel is bad. the part from Sanyo was last $1000.00. There seems to be some refirbs or knockoffs for $400. Time for a new set. John

We've had the Sanyo 1080p Flat screen TV for about a year and a half and the right side of the TV is black when we turn it on and after about 45 minutes in brightens. Sometimes it still has lines flickering throught he uper right.

I have seen this when using HDMI cables from the computer side.. The TV has a resolution that is not always full screen with TV shows. There is a setting that allows you to "zoom". My TV has 4 settings: normal, stretch and crop, stretch left and right, stretch and pinch (shrug).

Unfortunately, LCD panel has cause of the problem and it's not worth to fix.
