The beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.

make sure that your RAM and Cmos battery are securely seated

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and to have and end to function
the beeps are post pre operating system searching for some hardware it could be RAM cd/dvd hard drive or motherboard all of these must have secure connections for the computer to work
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure make sure the connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs all electric current and computer data to travel to and through every working device and have an end to work properly click start right click on my computer so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps you

ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard gives 10-15 sec bleeps at 0135 each morning. This sudenly started to ocure 4 nights ago.

Motherboards have a "timed-wake-up" option.
You can enter BIOS SETUP, and configure the computer to wake-up at a specified time, e.g., 01:35, on specific days, e.g., "daily".

Restart your computer.
Enter BIOS SETUP
Set the computer's clock to 01:30.
Save the setting
Exit from BIOS SETUP.
Turn the computer off.
Wait 5 minutes, until the computer's clock advances from 01:30 to 01:35, and watch what happens.

Drivers for p5n-e sli motherboard

You can download the drivers here:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

In the upper left hand corner of the screen, type in the model number of the board (P5N-E SLI) and use the drop down to select a category (probably "All"). Good luck.

Can a p5n-e sli handle a single 9800gtx? I

Yes as long as the 9800gtx is PCI Express x16. I am assuming the p5n-e is the Asus MB. Since I couldn't find any other Manufacturer using that MB#

P5N-SLI

HI stukove2000,
What is the 5200 stand for?
Here is Asus approved CPU list link for the P5N-E SLI MB:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=P5N-E%20SLI

The Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 5-5-5-15, should work just fine on the Asus MB.
Here is an expanded approved Qualified Venders List from Asus.
http://www.asus.com/999/download/products/1474/1474_10.pdf
You can also see a smaller QVL list in the manual on page 1-18 & 1-19.
The QVL insures total compatibility with the motherboard.

The NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT will run just fine on the Asus MB. Just make sure your power supply is no less than 500W. A 600W or 650W is preferred.
