What video format does element TV model number elgft471 play? It will play .mp3 audio files, show .jpeg(possibly others too) picture files, and has an option to select video files from a usb thumb drive. I don't know if the video files should be in .avi, .mpg..mp4, or .vod (dvd format).

This program is basically useless anymore. It says an upgrade is available but you cant get the upgrade to work, nor is there a way around the upgrade option. So the program is installed but stuck in the upgrade failed loop and useless.

SOURCE: can't play back video on sony walkman nwz-s616F

Hi everyone, I had this problem with the Sony MP3 players I bought for my kids (NWZ-S615F). There's a new (free) video converter from iWisoft (download.cnet.com or easy-video-converter.com) which does the trick. I looked into the others mentioned here and there were some virus/trojan horse concerns but so far this one seems fine. I downloaded the file, then did a virus scan, then ran the application and did another virus scan. I've used it 10-15 times since then and did another virus scan and nothing comes up so looks good. Choose the output file format as the first option under iPod. If it hangs while doing the conversion, try to run the output file before you get frustrated - I've found that most of the time the conversion was completed before it hung and the video plays fine.

Are you sure they support those formats? Because alot of the cheaper mp3 devices usually support .mtv files which is a cheap chinese format.
