Toshiba have a toshiba model; 55pj5uc, 55" projector tv. it has bad ghosting in left hand corner which is predominantly red, but the convergance seems to be all lined up. what can the problem be? cheers guys.

Hi bad solder connections in the deflection and power suply ckts solder and then solder some more then look for leaky caps on the pc board and dicoloration ie turned black on the solder pads of those caps good luck

My tv has bad ghosting with red only? top left sags down in red about 8 inches and is almost black and white above that?

Try to do an auto convergence on the TV if that does not work you need to replace the STK IC

ok, it is a ws-55-511? if blue or red will not adjust in some direction you have a bad CONVERGENCE IC--I have start to finish step by step instructions for the repair of this set with this problem.

If you want the instructions provide me a email address and give me a vote here--I am not allowed to post my email address here--It depends on if you can do this repair yourself--this model uses one STK-393-110 CONVERGENCE CHIP--I can tell you where to buy it and how to replace it--

Toshiba 43A61 - Cannot adjust convergence in lower left-hand corner of screen (#7 on Manual Adjustment). Green crosshairs seem higher than #8 or #9 and cannot move Red and Blue Crosshairs to line up.

replace both convergence ics.the ics are stk-110 ics.there are two of them.

Toshiba 50H81 manual convergence

are you sure it's yoke? these are know for bad convergence amp ic's
other wise it's a screw and glue holding the yoke in place loose the screw and try to break the glue with out breaking the plastic on the yoke, the other thing you can do is adjust the magnets which have tabs on the yoke. i would mark the position's of everything on the tube with a sharpie so you can get it back to start.
