Check print cartridge and color button are flashing

The cartridges are coded and communicate as to how full they are, if they are being refilled, the usage, and other data. If you took out your cartridges, then sometimes the printer assumes it is empty when put back, even if they are full. Try to do a Clean Heads option and see if Aligns the heads and gets back to normal.

It won't print and the light keeps flashing. I lost the instructions!

The flashing light could indicate either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer, a short in one of the cartridges, paper jam or the cartridge carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.
  2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.
  3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.
  4. Close the printer cover.
  5. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.
  7. Close the printer cover and check the light status.
  8. If light on printer is normal, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Check the light status.
  9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the light to flash with a new cartridge. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.
  10. Load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I unhooked my computer system to put laminate floor down. Then rehooked everything. Now the printer HP photosmart c5580, after a few minutes the power button and the print photo button and the close up...

Please remove the cartridges from the printer. Take a dry lint free paper towel and gently wipe the contacts on the back of the cartridge (not the bottom from where ink is present). Wipe the contacts inside the printer (on cartridge carrier). Please snap the cartridges back into the cartridge carrier and please try to print a printer self test.

Good Luck!!!!!

How open in laser toner catridge make-xerox model-phaser 3100

Replace the toner: Always use the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge when replacing the cartridge. The smart card contains the information necessary to reset the level of Toner. Replacing the cartridge without using the smart card may result in the consumable management system being inaccurate.
  1. Insert the smart card provided with the new Print Cartridge into the smart card reader. A "Change Toner?" message will be displayed.

  2. Press the [OK] button. An "Open Front Cover Replace Toner" message will be displayed.
  3. Push on the left and right side of the Front Cover and simultaneously lower the cover.

  8. Remove the smart card from the reader and dispose of the card as normal office waste.

NOTE: If the smart card has been used with a previous installation of a Print Cartridge, a "Remove Card Already Used" message will be displayed. The smart card can only be used once. Make sure to use the card that came with the new cartridge.

Message says problem with tri color cartridge

I don't think the date on the cartridge is the problem. It might be the electronic on your color cartridge. If there is an orange light flashing and the printer won't pull the paper to print, in 99%, the problem is one of the cartridges. Try removing the color cartridge and gently wipe out the electronic with a dry cloth. Put it back in and try to print. If that doesn't help, try removing the color cartridge and print (I am not sure if that will work, because all in one printers usually need both cartridges in order to print, but you can try that too). You can also try scanning something and see what the message on the printers display tells you. If there is an E an the color button is blinking, I think you should replace your color cartridge.

All the lights on my HP 1350 printer are blinking and it will not print. Normally where you could put the number of copies i " E" is in thaat spot.

In addition to providing information about current tasks, the lights on the front panel can also indicate error conditions, as described in the table below:
If the On light, Check Print Cartridge light, Check Paper light, and Start Copy, Black and Start Copy, Color lights are all flashing, do the following:
1 Verify that the front-panel overlay is attached to the HPPSC.
2 Turn your HPPSC off and on by disconnecting the power cord and reconnecting.

Alternatively,

All ights blinking: An error caused the HPPSC to stop functioning.
1 Turn the HPPSC off and then on.
2 Restart your computer.
3 If the problem is not corrected, unplug the HPPSC and plug it in
again.
If the problem persists, contact HP.

My printer does not print

Try using the utilities of your printer, clear the heads and align them. This usualy happens when the cartridges are new. Maybe the problem is that previous cartridges where empty and the new ones need alignment.
This is just a proposal though i need more information concerning your truoblshooting.
Are the cartridges OEM HP or reconstructed?
When you try to print the green light flashes or not?
