It's looks like the battery was already completely dead.

There is a known issue with a BIOS bug in some of the Acer models that it prevents charging. Try upgrading the BIOS from Acer online to the latest version following the online instructions. But you might have to borrow a charged battery from someone first if your battery is already completely dead now.

I would first check the path/directory that video is recorded to, uncheck the playback after recording box and if this does not work you need to update the drivers.

Acer Aspire Model generally comes with a bison web cam driver.
To use the web cam search for an application that installed in program files.In windows Xp web cam can be used by double clicking camera icon present in my computer. If you are using windows vista or other operating system you need an camera application software,to use it. Without application software you can use your web camera only in messengers,for example yahoo messenger. If u had an yahoo messenger login and click on view my web cam,now you can see your face in your laptop.So first thing is search for an application software installed on your laptop.
