R47 resistor is blown on Neff S5453X0GB/07 control board. I can't make out the value as it is badly damaged - anyone know the correct value so that I can replace it (TY7 is blown as well!).

HI.We cannot really but identify the correct resistor value unless we can identify or determine the color coding on the resistor. Each color has a corresponding value and tolerance as well.If you can't indentify the color coding then you can refer to its diagram usually printed out on the side of the control board or near thecontrol board. We cannot but cannot give a guess value unless color coding is given.Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

Hi, If I could see the colour coding then I wouldn't need to ask the question. I was hoping someone may have a wiring diagram or a good control board that could be visually inspected. I never asked anyone to guess the value...

Have a Diehl Controls PCA from Ikea dishwasher with blown R513. Any idea what value this was? Diehl Controls PCA but only markings are: 771 359 CTI o S1600.

It looks like the R513 on the Diehl Controls PCA is a 4.7k Ohm Resistor, according to the Ikea service manual. I suggest double-checking this information with the manufacturer or a qualified technician to confirm it is correct. If you do need to replace the resistor, be sure to use one with the same specifications as the original in order to ensure it will work correctly.

Lightning damage

Replace the parts with the original ones, a .5 ohm difference on a resistor on the video circuits will cause the unit not to work correctly.

Bulb blown on Neff Oven model B16P52N3GB - zero ohm resistors or not?

Resistors are color coded , 4 5and 6 bands , google resistor color chart , by checking the chart you should be able to replace them with exact part .

The treadmill have dcmd67 control board I need to know what value resistor R 19 have

I can't help you (directly) with the resistor value, but be aware that if it exploded, there is probably another bad component (such as a capacitor, transistor, and/or an SCR). Replacing only the resistor may result in the same problem, or may not even work at all due to another bad component. If you do find out the value, try putting in a resistor of the same value, but with a higher wattage rating. I once had a washing machine in which the model had a known problem with circuit boards blowing. I solved it by replacing a bad transistor and installing a higher wattage resistor that had blown up like yours. It never failed again. The way I found the value of the blown resistor is, I looked up a replacement board online, then magnified the photo, and looked at the color code on that same resistor in the photo. How I found the bad transistor is too complicated to explain in few words, but you can google the procedure. (You'll need a multi-meter at the very least; preferably _with_ a built in transistor checker. However, a _totally_ blown transistor can be found with only the resistance settings on a regular multi-meter).

Best of luck...

Get a service manual and it will tell you.

No Power to Red and Green CRT's

The resistors will have marked on the board under them a location number and should be little trouble to find.

A factory service manual for kp57ws500 also should with the location numbers indicate a Sony part number and the value of the parts.

What bothers me with the model is it is widely known to have bad picture tubes--it is a coin toss that if you replace the resistors they may instantly pop if a bad tube is involved.

Get me the location number/s and I will see what I can find out.

I got an amp from my buddy who was going to throw it out cause he broke the 0.2 to 6 volt dial. He discarded the old broken part out of fustration. Anyone know the part number for said missing piece? ...

so we know a few things...

1. you guys are inside the amp removing board soldered components.

could be a good thing since what you can do to sleuth a solution is this...
a. know that the 'knob' is actually a variable-resistor that ranges resistance from a start value to a max value.

b. you can ascertain the range by opening a similar amp and testing the resistance range as you rotate the knob.

c. pick the mid value resistance and buy a cheap resistor of that value, then just solder the resistor in place of the two knob-control bread board connectors.

voila.
