Hi,
My gps is not working properly, i have used it before in north queensland and it worked fine.
Now i live in South queensland Australia this is,
and it picks up satellites ok, but wont give me a position. Also in the time part of it, it is gaining time, the seconds go for 3 or 4 seconds then it moves quickly to 5 then another 3 seconds then it goes too fast to the next second. A bit weird.
It doesnt seem to be keeping time!
Any ideas
Cheers
Scott

Re:
It could be either a hardware or a software problem. try to reset the unit. if you can reprogram firmware, try it as well. also, a friend of mine once had a similar problem, he swiched to GPS off mode, waited a couple of mins, and swiched back, a while after it got fixed. worths a shot.

the motherboard is probley sendint the screen on the gps the wrong info
your best bet would be to take it into a gps place and get them to have a look at it
I Experienced the same problem the last two weeks. I read your suggestion about the right key/power button. The GPS asked me wheter I wanted to clear the memory yes or no. After "yes" i had to reenter my country and date/time. After doing this it took gps310 more than an hour to get its first fix. But it works again.
