The screen is broken . I dropped it . I' M JUST TRYING TO ORDER THE PART TO FIX IT. i'VE TAKEN IT APART AND IT IS A SIMPLE PLUG IN TYPE OF ITEM.

There is a person on e-bay who sells parts for the cybershot for around $40. his username is "Darntoothysam" search e-bay and google he also has a webpage. He has lots of sony parts and does the repairs also. Hes good

If you have DISP/ DISPLAY button then press it 2 - 3 times and see the result. After that if the problem still same then take a snap & see it in PC. If the snap not taken by camera then its a CCD fault . If you able to see the photo in PC then its a LCD display problem & need servicing.
Camera will be apart to replace LCD. remove screws at sides and bottom of camera to apart it. LCD is available in Part Store under following part number..
Lens mechanism is broken due to dropped.
You need to replace lens assembly. If you know how to apart camera and replace lens assembly then let me know to guide you.
Or take camera to local repair shop for fix.
Your camera needs a new button board, or a new system board. Sell it online somewhere popular to recover some of its worth. Usually about 20-40 dollars broken.
The cracked LCD itself can not be fixed, however a replacement LCD is always an option. They are fairly cheap, running around 40-50 dollars.
