Windows xp doesnt recognize the camera, windows update cant find suitable drivers either.

Forget the drivers...use a card reader.

Its best start again, completely remove the current drivers you have installed and do a restart.

Now shutdown the PC and plug the camera to your PCs using the USB lead and turn the camera on & set to USB mode. Start your PC and login as usual - XP should pick up your camera automatically.

If it still doesnt pick it up you might want to update XP to atleast SP2 or try another USB lead.

if it doesnt recognize the device it means that the driver is not compatible find a suitable driver ...this happens when the driver was for vista and you use xp ...or otherwise...or ...maybe you just do not installed it proper..
please let me know the operating system you use and the camera model ...and I will find a solution ...also ...take a better look on the camera cd sometimes it has drivers for all operating ...systems and install the right one ...
If it has its own programs for managing pictures install that too and use the import feature from the program ...if you do not have a cd ...but only the driver ..install an acdsee picture manager and use the import from device feature from there ...it has to work

Windows XP is plug and play, so it doesnt require any drivers on Coby's end. You need to do Windows Update to update your drive package, it seems you are missing the USB MASS STORAGE device driver.

I'm having the same problem. I don't have the disks with the camcorder and Vista is not recognizing nor seeing the camcorder. I'm going to try to download Zoombrowser and see if that makes it work.

You need no 'Driver'
This is a USB device XP will recognise this and put up the Camera/Scanner Wizard and ask what you want to do with the files.

Most versions of XP and Vista are not 64-bit but you might be one of the few "unluckies"
