I have actually lost my satellite speakers that came with the Logitech Z-2300. I am wondering what my best option is. I can't seem to find anyplace that sells these kind of speakers separately. I bought some computer speakers from Best Buy and a mini-to RCA cord and tried that but didn't have any luck. I did get them plugged into the Subwoofer on the Z-2300 but the problem is that it has a Black and Yellow RCA inputs. Because of this I was only able to get one computer speaker working. Is there any other options that I could try? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi

http://www.livedigitally.com/2005/09/05/logitech-z-2300-speaker-system/

It would appear you need 2 x 1/4 inch (3.5mm) jack to RCA cables, one for each channel and each speaker, left and right, rather than just the 1 cable ("..and a mini to RCA cord...") you seem to have bought.

The Yellow and Black RCA ports appear to be the Left and Right speaker channels respectively.

The output cable with a green jack that connects to the green jack on the computer's sound card seems to be tied in with the wired Remote Control.

I would have recommended getting a pair of passive 40W RMS Logitech Stereo Speakers.

As long as the speakers you have match in terms of Wattage and Impedance, you should be okay.

I hope this helps.

My satellite speakers are no longer working, logitech do not issue replacement satellites. Do you know if their is a way to use alternative sattelites with the subwoofer?

the back of the sub has 2 rca connections for left and right speakers so all you have to do is either find satellites that use rca connections or find or make your own "clip-on" or detachable wire to rca connection.

Hi, My friend left me his Z-2300 sub but lost the speakers that go along with the system. What speakers are the best replacement for the sub? which dont involve me soldering any wires!

I don't know which would be best but my recommendation to you is go shop around on the internet or in stores and find some good quality 2.0 (2 speakers without a subwoofer) computer speakers. If the speakers don't already have RCA connections it is easy to find a 3.5mm to RCA cable connector. Let me know if you want me to clarify that....audio lingo is very confusing sometimes!

Can I turn the Logitech z-2300 to a 4.1 speaker system?

You will need a separate pair of powered speakers to do that, plugged separately. The quality of the sound will remain the same on the front ones, the overall quality will depend on the new ones.

Just got the speakers and am wondering what is the best way to position the speakers..Small speakers on each side of monitor and where should I place the woofer? I can put it on the same level (large desk...

Woofer usually right in front of you on floor between legs sort of, the other two, should go about shoulder height, about 1.5 - 2M apart. You sit in the middle, slightly angled inwards this gives realistic results.

Logitech Speaker Help

Unfortunately, Logitech doesn't sell the wired remote controller separately. And that seems to be infamous for going out.
What worked for me (with no sound and no blue light on the remote connector) was to plug a set of earphones into the earphone port. As soon as I did that, the blue light came on and the sound was restored, even after removing the earphones. Someone else said both speakers worked properly while they had the earphones in, but not otherwise.
