You have to get into whats called DCAM mode to manually converge the set if you don't see a menu option for convergence. Goto the site www.tvrepairkits.com - they have a DCAM article on their tips page.

Starting to see double

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors R,G,B lines mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D colors pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.These parts must be replaced on the tv convergence board to solved tv convergence picture problems.The shop will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Hitachi projection tv, 50ux26b, picture jumps after it has been turned on ~20 seconds, then it settles down and works fine. advice?

The two most common problems with Hitachi projectors are in the verticle sweep circuits or the convergence. Both can cause that symptom. The good news is it is likely to be bad connections on the convergence power pacs or the verticle output IC or both. If bad connections are observed it is a good idea to resolder all suspected bad connections in general. There is a remote chance that the problem is out of tolerance filters on either the main sweep board, or a problem on the PIP module circuits. Consult with a repair specialist if you need more information.

Suspect Convergence IC's STK4274, part Number 2003191. Replace all three IK04(red), IK05(green), IK06(blue).
