I can't make calls, text message

There are times when i can't make a call at all or send a text message and if i can it's once in a blue moon. i tried my sim card on another phone and i can make calls fine but once i switch it back to the pantech duo it's crappy. what can i do? in case this aids...i've dropped my phone a total of three times from my waist which is about 3 ft from the ground. it has worked fine after all those falls until about a week ago. i just came back from a vacation and it just started acting funny. plus i currently am using a face plate for it.

My Pantech is the same way. When the phone is showing E on top it will work. When it goes to the 3G, which is the new updated network for AT&T it will not work. I have contacted A&T and Pantech and I ended up having to buy a prepaid phone and just put my sim card in that one.

i have the same problem. i had the same problem before and i got a new phone (same one) and it worked perfectly fine. i only dropped it once which was on the carpet floor. why is this happing?!

I had the same problem. AT&T simply said that this phone will no longer work on their network...which I can't understand, because sometimes (seldom) it works for a few minutes (on the edge network). The phone is about a month old and a refurb... Anyway I only dropped it once (rather launched it) across the highway, into a very large field.Very fulfilling...and from that day I haven't had one single problem from that piece of trash.

    So...don't buy anymore Pantech.

The same thing is happening to me! Starting probably last week it very rarely will actually send a text. I checked the Message Center Number and it was right, but this is so annoying! I need to be able to rely on my phone to text at least!

I have the same problem. 90% of the time it doesn't work (voice call, sms, internet/wap). Midnight or so, I'll start receiving text messages and voicemail notification. In the morning, when I try to get it, sometimes it works (10% of the time) and most of the time it doesn't work again.

mail, text and phone will not work when the 3G is on the top bar, it is okay with E or the G but nothing works with 3G. what is up with this problem?

What is wrong with this phone?? Text messages rarely go through on the first try and most calls I try to send out go from Dialing to Call Ended. I want to smash this phone into a million pieces. It used to work perfectly fine until around the first of this month, and it was all downhill from there.

Cannot send message, iMessage needs to be enabled to send message? Iphone 4S

Every Apple device can send messages to another apple device. This messages are called iMessages.

When you try to send a message to your son's iPhone your iPhone will try to send it via internet using iMessages.

In order to "tell your iPhone" to use regular text messages make sure that your son's cellular number is correctly stored in your contacts. That way if your iMessage fails, your iPhone will send it via regular text message.

You will see the difference between both because the "send" button and contact name will turn green when using regular text messages and blue when you're using iMessages.

Well you can't use the app textfree but there are ways of texting for free from your computer. The easiest way is to use google voice. If you have a google account already you can use that, if not it only takes a shot time to sign up. Once you have signed up go to voice.google.com and to

  • Reply to a text message sent to your Google number: Click Text below the text message you received and type your text message. Then, clickSend. You can also do this from your cell phone, but your mobile operator may charge you for this.

When I go to send the picture in a text message a box comes up and says the I need to enable my mobile settings I have tried to change everything in my mobile settings and get the same message every time.

Once you dump a picture inside a text message that becomes picture message or mms. Hence, you can't directly send the mms through your mobile without getting settings from your service provider call your service provider and ask them to send mms settings to you and then you can send picture messages. Caution mms messages are costlier than text messages.

"Check Operator Services" when sending a text

most probably you have disabled the CLI thing. In which your cell tries to prevent your number being shown to the person you are calling.
It is usually under Network settings, or Call settings (CLI/Show my number/Send my Number).

Won't send or receive text messages.

I had the same problem twice when I changed service on the phone, once when I asked to change from a fixed rate for 200 messages per month to pay-per-use and the second time when I changed phones out with the same number. They just turned off my text messaging and I had to call to have them reactivate it. Help this helps.
