I was playing my kicker l7's and aall of the sudden they just stopped working. I checked all of the wiring and it seems to be fine. The amp turns on and works still but the subs dont work at all. Do you have any ideas of what could be wrong?

Check your RCA cables to make sure you are getting signal. The amp isn't in protection is it? Also, if you have a multimeter, you can check to see if you are getting any power out to the speakers. Also, check to make sure your subs aren't blown. Keep me posted.

My kicker kx200.2 has no power or sound it was working fine then all of sudden stopped [all wires still connected] I'm new to car speakers what do I do to fix this

First to do is check all fuses, there should be one on the amp and one in the power wire by the battery. usually when one just stops with no smoking or burning smell, its just a fuse. hope it helps.

Kicker amo in my old vette

If the amp is in protect mode, it probably has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible problems, do the following.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage drops below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is dropping too low when the amp goes into protect.

If the voltage is OK, you need to check the speaker wiring and the speaker(s). Try it with a known good speaker if possible to see if the amp works normally.

CDA 9885 No idea why it suddenly stopped working

It sounds like you have a bad ground connection. You need to take the radio out and check all the connections. I bet you have a loose one somewhere. That is what the problem was with my bronco

Kicker 750.1 Amp wont play music

it is probably the rca inputs on the amp may have fried. was your cd decked turned up loudly before the power went out? did any wires accidently touch each other? If had worked fine and then suddenly stopped, than either a wire came loose or the inputs fried. try using different cables and I also suggest disconnecting power for 24 hours and then reconnect. If the green light is on then it is getting power and the problem is in the rca cables or the inputs

if the amp is powering on the sub and playing and then turns in to protect mode it could be the amp is getting hot and its kicking into protect so you wont fry the amp

Red light on Amplifier

if your amplifier has the internal Kicker card dealie "little computer card on the side that you can change out crossover settings and such," Turn off the vehicle, remove this device and make sure the contacts on the card are clean and free from black soot (showing a spark). clean the contacts with a pencil eraser or something hard but soft... and put the little card back in place, start the car again and see if that helps, I used to lose one speaker every once in a while with the same amp. I ended up replacing the module with a different one from my dealer and it worked fine (still does and it's been in my car 6 years). Check that little module. if this doesnt work, while the car is running and the music is "playing" wiggle the card and see if it works sometimes and not others. Likely is the little module.
