Ok, it stopped working as a player, still functional as a jumpdrive. I see that reinstalling the software and formatting it seems to work. Problem is is that I can't find the software anymore, anyone know where to get it?
Thanks

connect it to PC and save your personal files.right click your disc in "my computer" and select format.some players has a function disc format on system settings.
I just got a sansa c250 mp3 player. I loaded mp3 music onto it and it played but I couldn't control it. The buttons wouldn't respond. It would always just start from the first track but I couldn't stop it without turning it off. So I tried to format and reinstall the music but I lost the basic files/software initially on it, Can I get the software anywhere. Do I have a bad unit? The buttons don't seem to work. Thanks!
Note- this software is works only with windows operating system so, connect your Memory Card, Phone, HDD or any other Storage Device to computer to recover data.
should i assume that the drive work previouly with com dvd? my annlysis of this problem is that the dvdrom is not able to read the format the dvd is in. the format of the hard drive does not determine the ability to read or not read a dvd. that is the job of the optical disc.so dont worry about the format that is in.ok. the other aspect of the ability to read dvd is the software. windows media player and other that are of age has a inability to play some new format dvd. best bet install the newest version of power dvd put the disc and check should start automat pending setting you may need to go to my computer and double clickon the romdrive. let me know.
I would recommend trying a clean thumb drive with no software, only mp3/wma files. Having software and other files that are not audio may cause problems.
