I am trying to restore the factory default programming by following the steps in the instruction manual but it does not reset fully. I disconnect the battery, I press and hold any number from 1-9 for ten seconds then release, reconnect the battery and within three seconds press and hold the A button. I wait for the six additional beeps but it does not do it. All programming is erased and the factory master code is usable. It will accept a new master code when programmed but will not accept any other codes(Manager or User). Is there something else that can be done to get this lock to accept manager and user codes? I use several of these locks on our buildings but this is the first one to have this problem.

What's the error M1.04/19912A50?

The error code M1.04/19912A50 on your Onkyo AV receiver HT-R398 typically indicates a firmware or software-related issue. To resolve this problem and reset your receiver, you can follow these steps:
  1. Power Cycle the Receiver:
    • Turn off the receiver and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for about 10-15 minutes to ensure that all internal components have fully powered down.
    • Plug the receiver back in and turn it on.
  2. Factory Reset:
    • If the error persists after power cycling, you may need to perform a factory reset to restore the receiver to its default settings. Note that this will erase all your custom settings, so make sure to back up any important configurations if possible.
    • To perform a factory reset, refer to your receiver's user manual for specific instructions. Typically, this involves pressing and holding specific buttons on the front panel while powering on the receiver. The exact combination of buttons may vary by model.
  3. Firmware Update:
    • Ensure that your receiver's firmware is up to date. Visit the Onkyo website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your HT-R398 model. If updates are available, follow the provided instructions to update the firmware.
  4. Contact Customer Support:
    • If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it's a good idea to contact Onkyo customer support or visit their official support website. They may be able to provide specific guidance or solutions for the error code you're encountering.
Remember to consult your receiver's user manual for model-specific instructions, as the steps to reset or update firmware can vary between different Onkyo models. Additionally, be cautious when performing a factory reset, as it will erase all settings and return the receiver to its default state.

Ecco tv lhs restore to factory defaults

To reset a device to factory defaults, you will need to follow the specific instructions for your device. If you do not have access to the settings on the home page and do not know the password, you will need to try the following steps:
  1. Check the documentation or manual that came with your device. It may provide instructions on how to reset the device to factory defaults.
  2. Check the manufacturer's website for support and information on resetting the device. They may have instructions or a tool that can help you reset the device.
  3. If none of the above options are available, you may need to physically reset the device. This typically involves pressing a reset button or removing and reinserting the battery (if the device has a removable battery). Consult the documentation or manual for the specific location of the reset button or instructions on how to remove the battery.
Note: Resetting the device to factory defaults will erase all data and settings on the device, so make sure to back up any important information before resetting the device.

Step 3: When 'Acer eRecovery Management' window appears, select 'Restore System from factory default' and click 'Next' to continue.

If I take out the battery on my skylink sc-100 does it reset it back to factory settings.

I guess the question is about the control panel SC-001.

If power is totally removed (disconnecting DC jack and removing battery) from the control panel, user settings will be restored to factory default. These include all passwords and zone settings. Master PIN will be reset to "000" and secondary PINs will be deleted. Home, Away, and Night sequence default zone setting can be found in the manual.

However, all programmed sensors and remote controls will remain intact. This means that all programmed sensors would still trigger the control panel if activated. And programmed remotes would still operate the control panel. To remove installed sensors or remotes, simply disconnecting power will not work. User must follow instructions in the manual to remove sensors or remotes from a zone.
