You must check the paper settings, Canon MF 4350d have two trays, the Cassete/Drawer & MP tray or (Multi-purpose tray).
Go to Paper Settings found the panel of the Printer, Set Cassete tray as A4 or LTR size & MP Tray as Long size or Foolscap(FLSP).
You must go to Start>Devices and printers>Right click the Printer>Printer Properties>Preperences>Page size change to Letter>Apply and press Ok..
Make sure that everytime you print,it will match the paper size you want to able to use,..

Where is the MP tray?

It's the small door at the very front of the machine...located directly above the main paper feed tray. Just pull it open and lower it down. MP stands for Multi-Purpose and is for different paper types and sizes that are not available from the main tray.

This is a Canon Image CLASS mf4350d printer that is constantly having a paper jam. How do I correct?

Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the rear.

Be sure there is no paper or debris hidden anywhere. Open up the rear door and use a flashlight to explore the inside. If you see any paper, have patience in trying to remove it. slightly pull using a side to side motion. If you use a tool for help, like a pair of pliers, put some tape on the jaws of the pliers to help prevent the shredding of the paper.

Another good item to have handy is canned air. This can be used to blow out any built up dust or fine paper particles that may be embedded inside the printer after much use.

If this does not help.
Canon mf4350d printer has two paper sensors.the first is situated behind the cartridge on the left side and the second is in the heating unit.check both its place.if you do not fix the write and I'll put pictures to help you. The best printer service.

MF4350d gives a paper jam error when it has no paper in it.

I hired a technician who came to house and showed me where the paper jam was hidden... found technician on craigslist for $50 flat rate, came out on Saturday. He solved the paper jam problem in 20 minutes. One place to check for paper jam you cannot see until to look behind a hinged plastic flap above the cartridge area. Remove cartridge.Above the cartridge area is a width-wide plastic piece, about 1 to 1 1/2 inch wide from top to bottom, hindged along the top edge, moves but is attached along the two lower corners of the piece by small springs (one at each corner) to the housing of the machine. You cannot easily lift the plastic flap up to look behind it for paper jam until you remove the springs. I used forceps to remove them. Tweezers may work. Don't lose them! Once you remove the springs you can easily lift up the plastic flap (it is hinged) and look behind it into the crevices for any paper. That is where we found a small piece of paper. We needed a skinny forceps to reach into the crevice to get the paper out.

Only prints from the MP feeder and not through tray 1 anymore

if your printer only prints from the mp tray this is saying that it no longer recognizes tray one.
the first thing to check is the paper size fingers on the side of the tray. pull the paper tray all of the way out of the printer. there is a snap in plate on the left side of the tray. for letter size paper 2 fingers should be sticking out. if the fingers are present and not broken off. look into the opening that the tray was removed c
from on the left side half way back there will be 4 metal tabs make sure these are even and straight. if both of these are not damaged.remove the logic pack (metal cage behind the left side cover. loosen the 6 screws and remove the out cover. on the inside of this box remove the screw located upper right hand corner, remove the screw in the lower right corner, and the screw from the upper left corner. now one more screw on the back of this box lower left corner remove this screww then pull up on the box and set it aside. at this point you will see the main motor drive in the middle of this side dierictly under the motor you will see a small pcb that is attached with 2 screws ramove these and rfeplace this board it is the paper size select pcb and it needs replaced

Paper jam???

Follow these steps :
1.1
Remove all paper from the trays. This will prevent further jams during the clearing.
2.2
Remove the covering to the printer's outer case to expose the jam. Locate the jammed paper to ensure there is not another problem causing the stall.
3.3
Pull gently on the jammed paper, taking care not to tear it. In most cases, this will remove the jam.
4.4
Press the flashing "Printer Jam" button. This will allow the rotors to turn and facilitate the release of the jam.
5.5
Turn off the printer and firmly pull on the jammed paper. Be careful not to tear it.
6.6
Remove remaining paper shreds. if a tear occurs, remove any residual paper that may hamper printing.
7.7
Refill the paper tray and try printing again. If the jam persists, repeat the process and search for more paper.

My Canon MF4350d is printing slightly slanted

Check the paper tray if its properly aligned, and ensure you have a high quality paper for printing, and the paper is not damp

I have an old Canon 1150 color copier. The bottom drawer #2 dropped and can't feed paper properly. So I put 11x17 paper in drawer #1 which had 8x10 paper originally. Now the panel still shows drawer #1...

Is there a paper selection wheel or bar in the tray?

Some of the older Canon models have a dial (usually in the lower right hand corner of the tray) or a slider bar (usually on the left hand side of the tray) when you open it. That has to be set properly or the machine has no idea what size paper is there.

The paper in my canon 2270 is sticking every time it feeds. This only occured after we ran some books

Make sure the paper size dial is set correctly for size and orientation of paper loaded (on the front right corner of the paper tray). The copier will display paper jam every time if this dial is incorrectly set. After this has been confirmed, if it still jams, try cleaning the paper feed rollers with soapy water or isopropyl alcohol (make sure rollers are dry before attempting to copy again) Let me know, please
